JM Restoration just completed a chimney repair and Tuckpointing job on our 1930’s home. We liked everything they did through the entire process: clearly defined and explained estimate, kept on schedule, workmanship and cleanup (each day). A very professional company.

We had our roof replaced 4 years ago and in December of 2024 I noticed we had water damage inside around our fireplace. I thought that the roof was leaking and called the roofing company. They came and said it was because our brick was flaking off and it was leaking around the flashing. I asked them why they didn’t tell us that our brick was bad when they did our roof; they claimed then did. They didn’t or we would have repaired it immediately. Long story short, we contacted JM Restoration and then came out quickly to evaluate and give us a quote on the repair. The quote was significantly less than another company we had called. We chose JM not just because of the cost but because of their recommendations and photos of their work. They wrapped our chimney so no more water would leak in and completed the repair in three days which included the setting up and dismantling of scaffolding. They did a fabulous job matching our existing brick and grout as well as cleaning up afterward. The chimney looks beautiful and we couldn’t be happier! We highly recommend this company! Esau and his crew made a challenging job look absolutely wonderful. They rebuilt my chimney, ended up replacing some rotted boards and flashing and reroofing part of the roof, the point and tuck work around the house blends in perfectly. I loved them so much I asked them back for another job sealing some boards that had nothing to do with the masonry.

Esau and crew drove out to the burbs and did a fantastic job at a reasonable price. Not only did they do high quality work but they also made sure everything was cleaned up on a daily basis. They did a great deal of tuckpointing, new layers of brick and also poured new tops as well. Have had no issues since completed and would recommend their work

The JM crew came in and banged out a great, thorough tuckpoint and brickwork job. They covered extensive areas that had many poor joints, and also did a lot of spot repairs on isolated areas. They also bricked over a defunct milkbox, and made the new area match the existing brickwork. They knocked the job out in two days, and left the jobsite clean and tidy. I was very pleased with the results.

The JM Restoration team did a great job tuck pointing and repairing the chimney on our 1922 brick house. They explained everything they had to do and we are pleased with the end result! They were careful around my plants and did a wonderful job cleaning up when they were finished. We already have them lined up for a few more projects in the fall. Highly recommended!

Esau and the crew performed a great rebuild of the chimney on my 111 year old duplex They carefully built a very high scaffold to safely work at dizzying height. Straightened out the leaning and cracked bricks. Not to mention with the difficult weather conditions this year. Very nice clean up afterwards. Highly recommend JM Restoration.

Esau did an amazing job on our project. His communication was excellent both during the process of getting the quote as well as during scheduling. I actually will say I do not think I have ever had a contractor who communicates this well and it is so appreciated. We had a wall in our basement that was essentially starting to crumble from years of water exposure. We had some remediation efforts done by a basement company to include adding a sump pump. However, the concrete block was so worn down that it was unsightly and water would seep through the pores of the bricks when it would rain heavily. Esau discussed two options with us and explained the pros and cons of each. His finished product looks amazing. He kept everything clean and the work was completed in the amount of time he quoted.

Esau and his assistant did an excellent job using our existing brick to form a decorative ledge around our new picture window. He also came back later at my request to fill in anchor holes in the mortar where shutters had been previously attached.

I had JM Restoration look at my chimney for some tuck pointing needs, upon further inspection they noticed cracked bricks and recommend I replace. Seeing my house was built in the 50s finding brick to match was not a option. We decided to rebuild the upper part of chimney and the top cap. JM and crew did a fantastic job. Very happy with the restoration of our chimney! He’s an awesome mason and honest. The crew rebuilt our front retaining wall and added drainage to it. They had to look several places before finding similar blocks, as the originals were placed over 40 years ago. Then took the time to artistically arrange them so it’s not noticeable at all. Definitely would use again.
